Films that Work (on) the Red Carpet: Industrial Film Festivals and the Power of Prestige

This talk will examine the origins and early history of industrial film festivals in France and their role in the development of corporate and sponsored film production in the 1960s. It will situate these festivals in broader efforts to revitalize the French film industry amidst the industrial developments of "les Trente Glorieuses."
